A Plague Tale: Requiem is the eagerly anticipated follow-up to surprise 2019 adventure A Plague Tale: Innocence – and is nearly upon us.
The action adventure follows the tale of Amicia and her little brother Hugo – who find themselves fleeing from the French Inqusition. The really bad news is, that they’re escaping as Europe is caught in the grasp of the Black Plague, spread by hordes of rats.
The sequel picks up about six months later, with Amicia and Hugo having fled to Southern Europe. Here’s what else we know about A Plague Tale: Requiem so far.
A Plague Tale: Requiem – release date and formats
A Plague Tale: Requiem is set to releases on October 18, 2022 for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, PC and Nintendo Switch via the Cloud. It’ll also be available on Xbox Game Pass on launch.
The sequel was first announced back in June of last year, during the Xbox and Bethesda Showcase. It was a pleasant surprise, but the original game was very well received at the time.
The sequel promises an expanded slice of stealth action – but as well as Amicia’s slow-burn grounded combat approach, it appears Hugo’s now developed some supernatural powers of his own.
Among your powers include the ability to command some of the rat hordes yourself, setting them upon hapless guards for some gruesome kills.
