Warhammer 40k: Space Marine 2, the much-anticipated sequel to the 2011 title of the same name, will soon be upon us, and hardcore fans of the franchise are looking forward to seeing Lieutenant Titus once again in his battle against the Tyranids.
With Saber Interactive now continuing to tease game-related content, such as their Warhammer 40k Space Marine 2 Collector’s Edition, players are now wondering when exactly the game is going to be launched. Fret not, because now we’re here to give you all the information you need to prepare for the upcoming intergalactic battle.
When is the release date of Warhammer 40k Space Marine 2?
The Warhammer 40k Space Marine 2 release date has now been set for September 9, 2024. The new release date was revealed during The Game Awards by way of a brand new trailer for the game dropping during the broadcast. However, it seems those eagerly anticipating the new game will have to wait a full three quarters of a year before they can start playing it – sure to disappoint those who were hoping to see it sooner rather than later.
A tentative launch window was previously confirmed through an extensive statement from Focus Entertainment, wherein they also announced a significant delay to the game. The game’s publisher also revealed that its official launch date will be revealed in early December, so you won’t have to wait long to find out when it gets made available.
Those looking to play the game will only be given a limited amount of console options to choose from, as it will only be available for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and the PC. With the game set to be released next year, pre-orders are now also open on each of the aforementioned platforms. Hardcore fans can also purchase the Collector’s Edition of Space Marine 2 on the Focus Entertainment Store.
