How to lock on to enemies in Tears of the Kingdom

To lock on and target an enemy in Tears of the Kingdom, pivot the camera to face the enemy and hold down the ZL button. You’ll then see an orange, bobbing arrow-like icon above the foe’s head to indicate they’re being targetted by Link. Releasing ZL untargets the enemy, which can be very useful to quickly cycle between and lock on to different enemies when taking on larger groups.

When you target an enemy, the camera will automatically track and follow them for you, removing the need to move the camera manually to keep them in your field of view. To switch between enemies, let go of ZL, turn the camera to foe you want to target, and hold ZL once more.
