Want to know how to get the Champion’s Tunic in Tears of the Kingdom? Then you have come to the right place. With the smash hit follow-up to 2017’s Breath of the Wild now out, millions of gamers around the world are spending hours in the world of Hyrule, exploring and discovering new things in TotK every day.

In the case of the Champion’s Tunic (also known in-game as the Champion’s Leathers), though, BotW fans will have seen this before, as Link could wear the blue Tunic emblazoned with the Master Sword, in the game. In Breath of the Wild, Link acquired the Tunic from Impa who could found in Kakariko Village. In Tears of the Kingdom, getting the Champion’s Tunic is actually not much harder.

Champions Tunic location in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom

To get the Champion’s Tunic, you’re going to first need to unlock the Lookout Landing Skyview Tower. You can read out full Skyview Tower locations in Tears of the Kingdom guide for the precise location of that. Once you’ve done that, launch yourself up, head north, and glide to the entrance of Hyrule Castle.

Make your way inside. The room you’re looking for is called the Sanctum and has what looks like a large hole at the centre of it. Look to the left and make your way up the stairs. At the first floor, you’ll see a huge statue of a bird with two plinths in front of it that can be set on fire. Light them both using a fire arrow (fire fruit).

This will trigger a cutscene showing the giant bird statue moving to the side. It reveals a small hidden space with a chest inside. Open it and you’ll find the Champion’s Tunic. It’s called ‘Champion’s Leathers’, a garment ‘worn by those in good standing with Hyrule royalty’.
