How do you get High Tensile Spidroin in Starfield?

The best way to get High Tensile Spidroin in Starfield is by harvesting them from the Frigid Palm plant. The Frigid Palm is a plant that grows in particularly cold areas, and the best place you can harvest them is on the planet Linnaeus II in the Linnaeus system. Head to the Frozen Mountains region of the planet, and use your scanner to search for a fairly tall plant – this is the Frigid Palm. Head over and harvest it to collect your High Tensile Spidroin.

Once you’ve harvested eight of these, you’ll have the plant 100% scanned, meaning you can now grow your own Frigid Palms in your outpost greenhouse using the Botany skill. While this may take a bit more time and effort to set up, it means you’ll have a consistent supply of High Tensile Spidroin right in your outpost, and won’t have to do as much running around to collect it.

You can also sometimes purchase them from vendors and general stores such as Jemison Mercantile in New Atlantis, and Denis Averin in Cydonia. However, the stock of these stores rotates every day, and this is a fairly rare material to see crop up, so if you’re looking to get a large amount of it quickly, then your best bet is to head to Linnaeus II and harvest it yourself.

What is High Tensile Spidroin used for in Starfield?

High Tensile Spidroin is a key ingredient in several late-game crafting recipes. Most notably, the High Tensile Spidroin is a required ingredient to craft the Heavy Shielding mod for both spacesuits and helmets.
