The Weird Flower is one of several legendary tier artifacts that confer exceptional buffs when equipped, much like the Weird Water. These artifacts are obtained from arch anomalies, which are marked on the map as special anomalous areas. Unlike most other legendary artifacts, you can pick the Weird Flower early on once you’ve reached Zalissya. In this guide, we’ll walk you through how to get the Weird Flower artifact in Stalker 2.
Where to find the Weird Flower artifact in Stalker 2
To get the Weird Flower artifact, you’ll need to visit the Poppy Field anomalous area in the northwest of the Lesser Zone region. It’s roughly 600 meters northwest of the Zalissya camp. Before you set off, stock up on Non Stop Energy Drinks. The Poppy Field will send you to sleep if you stay too long, ultimately killing you. Energy drinks help fight this off and keep you awake. Note that like other legendary artifacts, the Weird Flower won’t show up using a detector.

When you get to the Poppy Field, head to the back of the northernmost house and the spot marked on the map image above. You’ll find the Weird Flower artifact among the poppies by the corner of the house just where the terrain starts to rise into a small hill. Grab the artifact and get out of the field as fast as possible to avoid falling asleep. You’ll also visit this anomalous area as part of the Poppy Field side mission, which you can play out to your advantage with some choice decisions.

With no firm stats like you get for standard artifacts and only a vague description, there’s not much to go on to decipher the Weird Flower’s effect. Reading between the lines here, the Weird Flower offers a stealth bonus, making you less likely to be detected by human enemies and mutants as you explore the Zone. You’ll need to sleep with the artifact equipped for the buff to take effect and it wears off over time. Sleep again to top it up.
