The Magic Cube is a rare artifact that, other than conferring some enviable radiation and physical protection stats, will also net you a cool 30,000 coupons as part of the A Job for the Barkeep side mission in Rostok. Given it’s rarity, finding one in an anomaly is quite the task and will typically involve some repeat farming. In this guide, we’ll walk you through how to get the Magic Cube artifact in Stalker 2.
Where to find the Magic Cube artifact in Stalker 2
To get the Magic Cube artifact, you’ll need to explore gravitational anomalies scattered around the Chornobyl Exclusion Zone. Presuming you’re in Rostok having just picked up the A Job for the Barkeep quest, we recommend visiting the anomaly in Buryakivka. It’s a small hamlet to the northeast of Rostok near the border with the Burnt Forest region.
At around 150 meters from Buryakivka, make a manual save. This is just in case the Magic Cube doesn’t spawn during your first visit. You can then reload to reset the area and try again without having to wait for an Emission to reset the random artifact spawn.
Make your way over to the northern portion of the village. Pull out your detector and track down the artifact. When you find it, make sure to grab it before it disappears. If you don’t get the Magic Cube, simply reload your save and repeat until you get lucky. It tools us around 20 tries to get the artifact.
You can also visit other gravitational anomalies to try and get the Magic Cube. Here’s a brief list of anomalies known to produce the artifact:
- Ribs, Lesser Region
- Deaf Meadow, Lesser Region,
- Daredevil Path, Cement Factory (you can also get the Whirlwind here)
- Petrol Station, Chemical Factory
Magic Cube stats

- Physical Protection – Strong
- A rare artifact found in gravitational anomalies. When exposed to the infrared spectrum, it becomes transparent.
