Among the mini quests on offer as part of the An Errand for Warlock side mission, the trader tasks you with tracking down a Whirlwind artifact. Though, you’re unlikely to want it for yourself due to its middling stat buffs, Warlock will reward you with 3,750 coupons for bringing it back to him. This reward makes it well worth tracking down, especially in the early game when funds are hard to come by. In this guide, we’ll walk you through how to get the Whirlwind artifact in Stalker 2.

Where to get the Whirlwind artifact in Stalker 2
To get the Whirlwind artifact in Stalker 2, you’ll need to visit gravitational anomalies across the Chornobyl Exclusion Zone. Every gravitational anomaly has a chance to spawn the artifact though you’ll have to contend with a vortex that will pull and push you around. If you setting out from Zalissya in the Lesser Zone, there are two nearby anomalies, as marked on the map above:
- Ribs, Lesser Zone – 200 meters southeast of Zalissya
- Deaf Meadow, Lesser Zone – 300 meters northeast of Zalissya
When you reach either of these, pull out your scanner and track down the artifact, then grab it when it appears. Neither anomaly is guaranteed to spawn the Whirlwind by default, so you’ll want to make a save roughly 150 meters away, then reload if the artifact doesn’t spawn. However, artifact spawn mechanics are also dictated by other factors: mainly, the game will spawn a random artifact when you go near or visit an anomaly. It won’t change until the next Emission event. So, if you already walked past Ribs or Deaf Meadow previously (even hours before), reloading a save will spawn the same artifact until the next Emission.

If you don’t want to wait for the next Emission, there’s a gravitational anomaly at the Daredevil Path point of interest in the Cement Factory region, northeast of the Lesser Zone (check the gallery above for the exact location on the map). You can reach it as soon as you head into the Garbage region as part of the Answers Come at a Price main story mission if you choose the Spark route. Remember to save about 150 meters out to keep the spawn chance intact and reload as needed. It took us around 8 tries to get the Whirlwind at Daredevil Path.
