Skull and Bones How to fish

To catch fish, you need to sail out into the open water and aim and shoot your Hunting Spear or cannons at fish. Once the fish are dead, you can sail over to them and loot them. When you’re sailing in open water, the trick is to use your spyglass (R key or right analog stick button) to see where the fish are.

While you’re steering your ship, you can hold the right mouse button on a computer or the left trigger on a controller to aim your weapon. Once you’ve aimed at fish or sharks, click the left mouse button or right trigger on console to shoot your weapon. Do this with accuracy and precision and you’ll have more success.

If you successfully hit the fish, its corpse will rise in the water. You can sail by it to loot it. This is the basic gist of the fishing experience in Skull and Bones. If you’re lucky enough to kill a shark, you can get the rare shark meat. Take that to a cookery next. Exotic prey (and other creatures like crocodiles) can also be targeted under the water’s surface. If you’re playing Skull and Bones, how to get fish is something you will need to know and master.

How to find fish in Skull and Bones

Fish can be seen jumping out of the vast seas while you’re out sailing. Head towards them to get a better shot when you’re hunting them.

You can also find them easily by enabling gameplay closed captions, which will alert you where fish are by subtitles at the bottom of the screen. Game subtitles in the language sub-section of the in-game menu can be turned on and off to help!

Fish luckily don’t require tons of firepower to take out, and are normally dead with one hit from the Hunting Spear in the waves. Sharks, however, are much tougher. You’ll want to upgrade your Hunting Spear to effectively take them out, especially when on the Dhow.

It’s important to keep your crew fed while you’re sailing the seas, so don’t neglect fishing and cooking up food for them.
