Skull and Bones Cutthroat Secrets contract walkthrough

Before breaking down how to complete this quest, let’s go over the different quest steps. You will get the Cutthroat Secrets contract from Scurlock as part of the main storyline. During this quest, you will complete the following steps:

1. Travel to the Sunken Goldmine outpost
2. Locate and dig up the Agent’s Stash
3. Hunt down the traitors
4. Return to John Scurlock

Before starting this contract we recommend ranking your ship up to rank 5 since there are some stronger targets out in the Coast of Africa region.

Start the contract off by going to the Sunken Goldmine. This outpost is located on the far western side of the map in the Coast of Africa region. You must follow the channels inland to the lake to locate the Goldmine.

Once you reach this area, you will need to track down the Agent’s Stash. You will get a note that you can reference for the location of a landmark near the treasure. Follow the path from the beach, up the hill, and to the encampment. From there, hang a right and go up the hill to where the pirate’s bonfire is.

Near the pirate’s bonfire, you should see a rock with the same marking as the landmark on your reference. Near this rock, you will get prompted to dig up the treasure. After getting the stash, you will be tasked with sinking Scurlock’s traitor.

Follow the channels back out to the ocean and you will find the traitor to the north near the Navigator’s Cross outpost. Attack the traitor and sink them. Once this is complete, you will simply need to return to John Scurlock to complete the contract.
