Make sure to check out all the other expansion packs for the game if you’re interested in more, and how to play the base game for free if you don’t already own Sims 4. But, if you’re just looking for a world overview of Tomarang, you’ve come to the right place.

The world of Tomarang in Sims 4 For Rent

The new world of Tomarang is described as a lush village filled with traditions and close-knit neighbors. With tons of dense housing, it’s perfect for renters looking for a new home. Tomarang consists of nine lots divided into two neighborhoods – Morensong and Koh Sahpa.

The world is a bit smaller than other Sims 4 worlds but filled with rental properties, where you can fit multiple families onto one lot. There are two residential rental lots in Tomarang, five regular residential lots, and two community lots. Among the community lots are the botanical gardens ZoSul Tamam Botani and The Screaming Gecko Lounge.

Out of the lots, there are three empty lots for you to build whatever your heart desires onto them. Whether it’s a huge mansion or a packed village for renters, it’s up to you.

Inspired by…

Like many Sims 4 worlds, Tomarang is inspired by real locations. This world in particular is Southeast Asian inspired, including the Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam, and Thailand.

Tomarang events

There are several activities that are exclusive to Tomarang, most notably the Night Market. The Night Market occurs every night in the Morensong neighborhood, where Sims can order food and drink from vendors on the street. There are t-shirts, ingredients, and other knick-knacks to pick up, as well. As mentioned above, unlike the Spice Festival in City Living this market happens every night. So, if your Sim is feeling a bit lazy and doesn’t want to cook for the night, head out to the market and pick up some yummy food.

Another Tomarang exclusive is the Sulea Tiger Sanctuary. It’s a beautiful temple on the Eastern edge of Koh Sahpa, where your sim can adopt a tiger and donate simoleons. Unlike the Night Market, however, this one is just a rabbit hole. While you can adopt a tiger, it’s more symbolic. Unfortunately, your Sim doesn’t actually get a tiger. You’re just supporting the tiger. You can also visit this lot, but you can’t see inside.

There’s also a beach on Koh Sahpa to play on. The beach features some sand piles for your Sims to dig up and a cave to explore. When exploring the cave, you’ll get a series of pop-ups that allow you to make decisions for what your Sim does next. It’s the same experience as other caves in The Sims 4, but themed to Tomarang.

Tomarang households

There are four existing families already living in Tomarang that you can play with. These households are:

  • Bun Ma Household – Bua Bun Ma, Kasem Bun Ma, Nin Bun Ma, and Sud Bun Ma
  • Linh Household – Thi Linh
  • Cahyaputri Household – Vanesha Cahyaputri and Zhafira Cahyaputri
  • Linh-Sadya Household – Chánh Linh, Arturo Linh, Liên Sadya, Alon Sadya, and Cam Sadya

You can play with these pre-built households and continue their stories. Of course, you are also able to create your own Sims to live in Tomarang and you’ll encounter these Sims as you explore the village. They’ll likely be your close neighbors, due to the proximity of rental units.

That’s everything you need to know about the new Sims 4 For Rent world Tomorang. Be sure to check out how to rotate items in The Sims 4 to up your building game, and how to have twins if you’re ready to expand your Sims family.
