Where to find Frigibax in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet – Frigibax locations
As with the first evolution of every pseudo-legendary Pokemon, Frigibax is a relatively rare encounter. Fortunately, we do have some information on where it’s most likely to be found.
Frigibax is known to make dark and cold places its home. This means that it’s more likely to be found in caves or in areas with deep snow. Which area in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet meets all these requirements?
You guessed it, Glaseado Mountains. Located near the city of Montenevera, this ice-type and dragon-type Pokemon is most commonly found around the Glaseado Mountains area of the Paldea region, though even then the chances of it spawning are quite low. It is best to check caves and snowy areas.
It may take a while before you can add this Pokemon to your Scarlet and Violet pokedex. You can occasionally get lucky and have mass outbreaks to make things easier. Another difficult-to-obtain Pokemon is Ditto.
How to evolve Frigibax into Arctibax and Baxcalibur in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet
Now that you’ve gotten yourself a Frigibax, the first step to getting a Baxcalibur is getting yourself an Arctibax. Fortunately, evolving a Frigibax is faulty simple, and straightforward. All you have to do is get it to level 35. This is a relief thanks to other new Pokemon like Gimmighoul that can be annoying to evolve.
As soon as your Frigibax hits level 35, it’ll evolve into Arctibax. There are no item or other requirements, and the average level of a wild Frigibax is already in the mid 20s, which means you’ll most likely have to level it up less than 10 times.
Getting your newly evolved Arctibax to evolve into Baxcalibur, however, is a completely different story. While Arctibax’s evolution doesn’t have any special requirements either, you have to get it to a whopping level 54.
This means that you have to battle wild or enemy Pokemon using Arctibax until it levels up almost 20 times. Fortunately, EXP candies and Rare Candy can be used to significantly reduce the time needed to grind all that experience.
If you don’t have enough EXP candies, you can earn more by participating in Tera Raid battles, with the harder raids giving better EXP candies.
