The best player in NBA 2K24 is none other than Nikola Jokić, who will have a 98 overall rating. Although he just missed out on his third straight MVP Award, Jokić was simply phenomenal over the course of the 2022-23 regular season, and was the biggest reason why the Nuggets were able to make the Finals and win their very first Championship Title in franchise history.

Following the Serbian superstar is that of the MVP himself, Joel Embiid, who illustrated just how menacing and dominant he can be all over the court. The NBA has several of imposing players that can really make an impact on both sides of the ball, and Embiid happens to be one of the very best in that group.

Down below, we review some of the Top 10 centers and breakdown why they made the list in NBA 2K24 this year.

Nikola Jokić – 98 overall

The two-time MVP Award winner and NBA Champion doesn’t need much justification for why he’s not only the best center in NBA 2K24, but the best player in the game period. Though Jokić’s numbers dipped a bit on the scoring front over the regular season, he did manage to nearly average a triple double on the year as a result of his career high in assists per game (9.8). In short, the man is virtually unstoppable offensively, and over the last three seasons, has shown why he should be considered the best in the NBA.

Joel Embiid – 96 overall

Joel Embiid has been a superstar in the making, and last season that really came to fruition. Scoring an average of 33.1 points per game (first in the NBA), Embiid made his impact felt in so many other ways, from rebounding the glass with elite efficiency to locking up the paint with dominant defending and shot blocking. Though some of you might feel that Embiid should be the best center and or player in NBA 2K24 (and you can make a good argument why), the 76ers’ meltdown in the playoffs highlighted that the star man still has a ways to go before surpassing Jokić. Yes, winning the MVP Award was a big step in the right direction. But Jokić mind you has two of those and just won his first ring while Embiid has yet to do so.

Domantas Sabonis – 87 overall

Talk about a breakout season, Sabonis nearly averaged a triple double in his first campaign with the Sacramento Kings and played a crucial role in the success the franchise had last season. In 79 games played last season, Sabonis had 19.1 points per game on a career high 61.5% shooting from the field, to go with 12.3 rebounds (led the NBA) and 7.3 assists. Aside from Nikola Jokić, there’s just simply not that many big men in the NBA that can do all those three things well. Sabonis brings the full package, and though his jump from 86 overall in NBA 2K23 at launch last season to 87 might not seem like much, the 27-year-old is in his prime and proved to everyone why he’s one of the best centers in the league.

Brook Lopez – 84 overall

Despite being a veteran in this league, Lopez is still showing everyone how capable he is and just how strong of a defender he has grown into. In 78 games played over the 2022-23 campaign, Lopez scored 15.9 points per game (the first time since his 2016-17 season), averaged 6.7 rebounds, and a career high 2.5 blocks (second in the NBA). Everyone loves to applaud and direct their awe towards Giannis Antetokounmpo, Khris Middleton, and Jrue Holiday, but Lopez is arguably just as important, particularly on the defensive front. As a result, NBA 2K24 made him an 84 overall at launch.
