Who is making it MW3 (2023)?

The studio responsible for making MW3 is none other than Sledgehammer Games. A household name among CoD enthusiasts, Sledgehammer Games is responsible for creating a number of other series installments. This includes the original Modern Warfare 3 and Advanced Warfare. Infinity Ward will also be assisting in certain aspects of the game alongside other CoD studios. This includes Black Ops 3 creator Treyarch, Warzone developer Raven Software, and Black Ops Cold War studio Beenox.

However, a majority of the game’s production will fall largely on Sledgehammer Games’ capable shoulders. In fact, a majority of the features they’ve already introduced to the next game, such as the revamped MW3 maps and refreshed gameplay mechanics, have been well-received by the community ahead of time. That said, there’s still plenty in store for hardcore CoD fans. This is becuase several key elements, like the alleged new perk system, are still yet to be showcased.

It’s worth noting, though, that the highly anticipated open world MW3 Zombies mode is not being developed by Sledgehammer Games. Instead, Treyarch is taking the lead on what’s being touted as the series’ “largest zombies offering to date.” The undead match offering will reportedly be similar to MW2’s DMZ and Black Ops Cold War’s Outbreak mode so the development team has their work cut out for them. Fortunately, fan reaction has been positive early on as players had been waiting years for a new zombie match type.
