Call of Duty has always been known for an exorbitant list of Operators and MW3 is no different. Featuring several new faces and familiar ones that hardcore fans should be familiar with, the latest roster is one of the biggest in the series’ history. If you want to unlock all the grizzled veterans who have made their way into the game, here’s what you need to know.
Every Operator and how to unlock them
In addition to the 67 returning Operators from MW2, there are over a hundred Operators in the game. Iconic characters like Nicki Minaj and Snoop Dogg are a part of those legacy characters. Unique Operators were added at launch with more arriving with each Season. They are largely cosmetic changes that do not tinker with gameplay elements. They can be customized with Finishing Moves as well.
Season 4 Operators list

What is the difference between SpecGru and KorTac factions?
SpecGru is a private military company (PMC) composed of highly trained and experienced soldiers from various special forces units around the world. This category also includes Operators from the campaign such as Captain Price and Ghost. Kortac on the other hand, is another PMC, but one with a more clandestine and secretive approach. Their operatives are often former members of elite intelligence agencies and are skilled in covert operations and unconventional warfare. They also have some of the campaign characters like Makarov which you can unlock and use in multiplayer matches.
Returning Operators from MW2
67 Operators return from MW2 via the Modern Warfare 3 carry forward feature. This will enable you to use most of the characters you’ve already unlocked including the MW2 and Warzone Diablo Operators. So the money you spend to obtain them won’t be wasted if you stop playing MW2. Here are all the returning Operators in the game:
