Many eager FPS fans are wondering when can I preload the Modern Warfare 3 beta? as the shooter gears up for its first playable public showing this weekend.
As we approach the MW3 beta start time, a number of eager fans are wanting to know if they can get the beta on their machines early, so that they can be ready to go as soon as those beta floodgates open. The good news is that, yes indeed they can – so we’ve got the information here for you. The first weekend beta was a PlayStation exclusive, of course. However, tomorrow will also see PC and Xbox CoD fans join the fun. Here’s the information that we know.
When is the MW3 beta preload available on Xbox and PC?
We’ve had word that the preload is available right now for those on PC and Xbox. This was confirmed by the official Call of Duty X account. Prior to this, those with a Playstation console could do this, so it’s sitting nicely on our hard drives, awaiting the MW3 second weekend beta to begin. Make sure to check the MW3 beta download size to ensure you’ve got enough space on your console first.
Prior to official confirmation, we predicte the MW3 beta on PC and Xbox to begin on Wednesday, October 11. It looks like we were right.
When was the MW3 beta preload available on PlayStation?
The MW3 beta is available for preloading on PlayStation consoles after players after redeeming their MW3 beta code and picked PlayStation login from the Call of Duty redeem website. There, they’ll see a message telling them they’ve already redeemed a code for PlayStation, and can now redeem that code on the PlayStation Store, which will allow them to start downloading the beta immediately.
