Modern Warfare 3 campaign walkthrough mission 9 – Highrise

Things are heating up in the Modern Warfare 3 Highrise mission. Playing as Gaz, you’ll join forces with Price to assault a heavily-guarded Konni safehouse in Saint Petersburg. Expect close-quarters combat as you make your way through the dreary building and track down Andrei Nolan.

We’ll walk you through how to complete the Modern Warfare 3 Highrise mission in one piece. We also have walkthroughs for the Payload, Reactor, Crash Site, Flashpoint, and Oligarch missions as well.

Modern Warfare 3 Highrise walkthrough

You start the Highrise mission equipped with a Lockwood 680 and an X12. Due to the close-quarters environment, the Lockwood will serve you well. Advance down the corridor through the first door and turn right, taking out the first guard you meet as you go.

Climb up the ladder in the elevator shaft, then jump to another ladder on your right. At the top, hop to the wooden boards then through the doorway. Take a left and shoot the two soldiers patrolling the hallway ahead. Press on taking out another guard ahead. At this point you can take the door on the right next to the stairs to gather up some gear including a silenced COR-45.

Head up the stairs, turn the corner, find cover, then take out the four guards in the hallway ahead. Molotov cocktails or Semtex grenades work well here. Follow the corridor round and enter the first door on your right. Grab the armor upgrade in the room. Exit through the door at the back. Press on down the corridor until you hit the blocked stairs. Jump through the window and climb up the ladder on the right.

Reach the Rooftop

Follow the balcony running above the building’s central courtyard, taking a left through the first window you come across. Watch for the enemies patrolling on the floor above. As you enter, they’ll throw a smoke grenade, significantly cutting down visibility. Either take out the hostiles or get out of the room as quickly as possible to find some cover and pick them off from safety.

When they are dealt with, head east to the spot on the image above and shoot the wooden chair blocking the door. Enter the now-accessible room, grab the Silenced MTZ Interceptor if you want, and climb up the ladder in the shaft at the back. 

Reach the next level. Clear out the remaining enemies, otherwise stay right until you hit another ladder leading to level above. Shoot the crouching enemy, then jump through the window, stick right and up to the 11th floor. Take a right, find cover, and gun down the five soldiers that pop out in the hallway ahead.

Continue on and take the first right, then hop onto the swinging container to the other side of the building. Head west until you hit a stairwell, taking out hostiles as you go. Grab the Ascender on the crate near the stairs. Use the zipline through the open window, follow the scaffolding round, and hop into the first window on the right. Open the door ahead and you’ll be back to where you just were. 

Push on east but instead of taking the container, continue forward until you spot a hole in the building wall. Take the ladder up on your left, then another to reach the roof.

Secure the Rooftop

Price will join you on the rooftop. Find cover and take down as many enemies as you can. Advance methodically towards Andrei’s position in the southwest of the map. He has a riot shield, so use grenades and flash bangs to incapacitate him. When he’s down, approach him to secure the target.

With Andrei on your back, follow Price to the extraction point, taking out enemies as best you can while sticking to cover. Attach Andrei to the line then prepare for a tough fight. You’ll have to deal with two waves of heavily armored enemies. Stay alive then attach yourself to the line when prompted to complete the Modern Warfare 3 Highrise mission. Up next, Frozen Tundra.
