Modern Warfare 3 campaign walkthrough mission 3 – Reactor

The Modern Warfare 3 Reactor campaign mission puts you in the shoes of none other than the famed Captain John Price. After jumping from a transport plane, you’ll sky dive down to an Open Combat Mission zone in a nuclear power plant in Urzikstan, tasked with three Konni helicopters.

We’ll walk you through how to keep Captain Price alive and secure all the objectives in the MW3 Reactor campaign mission. Modern Warfare 3 Reactor walkthrough

After gaining control of Price in mid-air, set course for the power plant and aim for a spot with cover on the ground. Remember to deploy the parachute before hitting the ground to soften the landing and avoid dying.

Once on the ground, you’re presented with a similar semi-open world area to the previous Precious Cargo mission. Make your way to the first helicopter objective. A vantage point is helpful here to pick off the guards patrolling near the bird and we recommend the gutted grey building on the right of the plant’s compound. Another benefit of this position is that you’ll find a mortar strike on the roof. Use it to destroy the helicopter. Reinforcement will show up at this point. Take them out.

Use the zipline in the direction of the next helicopter objective in the southeast of the power plant. There’s an ascender on a pile of plywood to the right of the zipline. The yard with the helicopter is teeming with enemies, so head either left or right, picking them off quietly as you go. Once the area is clear, plant a couple C4 packs onto the helicopter, move away, and detonate them to destroy it.

One helicopter to go. Follow the objective marker to the northeast of the map. When you get close enough, an attack helicopter will show up to complete things. Head for the rooftop of the central reactor building and the spot in the image above. There, you’ll find a rocket launcher that will make easy work of the helicopter. There’s also a stealth bomber on the ground near the rocket launch spot should need it. Use the rocket launcher to destroy the grounded helicopter and tick off the last objective.

Access the Reactor Room

Aim for the objecftive marker on your map. The reactor entrance is on the northeast side of the building, not far from the third helicopter you destroyed. Enter, then press the reactor door button to get inside.

The airlock will close then open to the main reactor room. Take out the guard straight ahead then those on the rising platform. One has a shield so you may need to get creative here with either a grenade or some swift movement. A green noxious gas will start coming up from the ground.

Make your way around to the closest platform above. Deal with the waves of enemies on the walkways ahead and to the left. No small feat for sure given the lack of cover, but keep moving and keep your sights on heads for maximum impact. Before long, a rope will come down, grab it to exit the reactor to reunite with Gaz and Soap and wrap up the Modern Warfare 3 Reactor mission.
