Submarine pitchers in MLB The Show 24 can be as advantageous as they come. Imagine you’re a batter and you are stepping up to the plate, only to see the ball come from almost on the ground instead of the standard release point. Your timing, location, and more are all thrown off. That’s what a submarine pitcher can do just with their motion regardless of how good they are or what pitches they can throw. Here are the MLB The Show 24 players who use that pitching style.

Which players are submarine pitchers?

Tyler Rogers, Adam Cimber, Tim Hill, Adam Kolarek, Ryan Thompson, and Justin Lawrence are the current submarine pitchers. Last year, there were some like Boston Red Sox star Gregory Wyatt Mill that aren’t in the game this time around.

Therefore, if you want to throw with someone who has this unique windup and delivery, you’ll need to play with the San Francisco Giants, Los Angeles Angels, Arizona Diamondbacks, or Colorado Rockies. Players have changed teams, so the Toronto Blue Jays and Boston Red Sox don’t have their submarine baseball guys anymore. We enjoy using these, as they provide a unique take on pitching and break up some of the monotony.

✓ Zach’s Tips

There are, sadly, only a few remaining submarine pitchers in MLB The Show 24. If you’re playing Franchise mode, be sure to try and trade for them so you have one of the most unique players in the game.

You can use these players for Franchise Mode, Diamond Dynasty, or Exhibition. Keep in mind that sidearm pitchers don’t often have the highest OVR ratings, so they may not be as useful in Diamond Dynasty.

If you are playing Road to the Show, then you may want to try out a generic submarine or a traditional submarine release point. Your pitching arm can show up in a lot of different arm angles that Sony San Diego Studio modeled for the game.

There are well over 100 options, but only a few of them look like a true submarine pitcher:

  • Generic Stretch 29
  • Generic Stretch 61
  • Generic Windup 88
  • Generic Stretch 90
  • Generic Windup 94
  • Generic Windup 166

These submariner pitching motions will help make you one of the best submarine pitchers in the sport. Whether you play for the Cleveland Guardians, Miami Marlins, your ballplayer can have a unique sidearm release that will grab everyone’s attention.
