In Marvel Rivals, DPS are the primary damage dealers in the game that decide the fate of a team’s winning and losing chances. They stand out from the rest of the roster as crucial frontline heroes of the team who disrupt the opponent team’s attacks and drain out their backline to make way for tanks to dominate.

Among the wide variety of Duelists in Marvel Rivals, Iron Fist is one of the best ones and is a truly unique and easy-to-play damage dealer. He excels in close combat with his heavy damage-dealing punches and the ability to heal himself in the heat of the battle. His abilities revolve around Chi, which is an elemental power of Shou-Lao which is the dragon whose power he possesses.

If you’re looking to master Iron Fist in Marvel Rivals and his buffed-up adjustments in Season 1.5, here are the best tips and abilities you need to use.

How to use Iron Fist in Marvel Rivals

In Marvel Rivals, Iron Fist is a fast-moving Duelist who excels in close-quarters combat, dealing powerful melee damage while exploiting his sustain and agility. Mastering him necessitates strategic ability use, good timing, and an understanding of your matches.

Begin your attack with Jeet Kune Do, your bread and butter. With each stroke, this five-hit combo deals increasing damage and shortens Dragon’s Defense’s cooldown. Use it to bully opponents and prepare for a defensive position. Then, engage Dragon’s Defense which deflects incoming damage and restores additional life upon exit, transforming your blows into the faster, harder-hitting Yat Jee Chung Kuen.

This stance should be used before heavy enemy attacks — particularly against tanks — in order to absorb the burst and respond with improved strikes. Combine it with K’un-Lun Kick, a dash that does additional damage to low-health enemies, to finish off retreating targets or plunge into a fight.

Iron Fist has a competitive advantage in mobility. Crane Leap allows you to triple-jump, which is ideal for dodging attacks or repositioning, while Wall Runner provides surprising flanking paths. Use them to approach from unusual angles, such as high ground or behind enemy lines. Harmony Recovery gradually heals you, transforming surplus into additional health — essential for sustaining yourself in the middle of a fight.

Finally, the ultimate, Living Chi, increases speed, and damage, and reduces the cooldown for Dragon’s Defense. Use it in team fights to shred gathered enemies or duel slick DPS. When dealing with tanks like Hulk or Magneto, use hit-and-run. Because their mass resists your burst, bait abilities with Crane Leap, then utilize Dragon’s Defense to soak attacks before retaliating with Yat Jee Chung Kuen. Avoid trading for too long; instead, chip away and detach.

Always start with full health with Harmony Recovery, flank unexpectedly, and save K’un-Lun Kick for executions. Coordination with a healer, such as Luna Snow, will result in an Atlas Bond team-up ability, intensifying your chaos. Iron Fist thrives when you set the rhythm of the fight: strike quickly, fade, and repeat.
