Since its release, Marvel Rivals has maintained near-flawless server performance, with very infrequent extended outages. NetEase has established a reputation for rapid turnarounds, guaranteeing that the game remains accessible, in contrast to other live-service titles that may often leave fans stranded for hours.
Now, we are entering Season 3, and the addition of Phoenix will shake up team compositions. At the same time, NetEase has also decided to shift the meta with numerous buffs and nerfs. However, before you can play the new content in Marvel Rivals, you’ll need to download the latest update and wait for the server downtime to end.
When will Marvel Rivals Season 3 downtime end?
Marvel Rivals servers have been taken offline in order to prepare for the upcoming Season 3 update. NetEase has revealed that Marvel Rivals server maintenance will start on July 11 at 2 AM PDT / 9 AM UTC and is estimated to last no longer than 2 hours. This means the servers will come back online at 4 AM PDT / 11 AM UTC, and you’ll be able to jump right back into the game.
During downtime, the servers will be offline, and players will not be able to access the game or any other features. NetEase has also informed players that server return time may last longer based on the progress of deploying the latest patch.

How to check for Marvel Rivals connection issues
If you’re having trouble connecting to Marvel Rivals servers while playing the game or are facing frequent issues, here’s how you can resolve them using the in-game Network Diagnostics tool:
- Check your computer’s or console’s connection to the internet.
- Launch the game.
- Head to Game Settings.
- Click on Other on the top bar.
- Run the Network Diagnostics tool by clicking on Run Diagnostics.
- A new pop-up will appear. Change your server region from the drop-down and click on Run Diagnostics.
- Wait for a while for the tool to finish the test.
- You’ll see your current latency and connection results in the game.
