Since its release, Marvel Rivals has maintained flawless server performance, with very infrequent extended outages. NetEase has established a reputation for rapid turnarounds, guaranteeing that the game remains accessible, in contrast to other live-service titles that may leave fans stranded for hours. This reliability has only served to heighten anticipation for the game’s upcoming major update, which devs have revealed to alter the meta and gameplay in the Season 1.5 release.
The addition of Human Torch and The Thing to the Fantastic Four team will bring explosive power and a flamboyant style to the fight. New maps, like New York’s Central Park being overtaken by Dracula, are said to be added and adjustments to the game’s balance will ensure that the meta remains as unpredictable as a Hulk smash. However, even the biggest updates require time to compile, and here’s how long the Marvel Rivals server maintenance will last for Season 1.5.
Marvel Rivals Season 1.5 update downtime details and server maintenance schedule
- Marvel Rivals servers are currently down for the release of a mid-season update
Marvel Rivals servers have been taken offline in order to prepare for the upcoming Season 1.5 update in Eternal Night Falls which will bring two new heroes and many more features to the game, including the viral Chrono Tokens to Units conversion.
NetEase has revealed that Marvel Rivals Server Maintenance will start on February 21 at 1 AM PST / 4 AM ET / 9 AM UTC and is estimated to last around 3 hours. This means the servers will come back online at 4 AM PST / 7 AM ET / 12 PM UTC and you’ll be able to jump right back into the game.
During downtime, the servers will be offline, and players will not be able to access the game or any other features. NetEase has also informed players that server return time may last longer based on the progress of deploying the latest patch.
The Competitive mode in Marvel Rivals was also frozen due to Season Settlement since the new update will require you to climb ranks and gain more points to achieve free Gold skins and more rewards. Furthermore, the new Season 1.5 update is bringing a Midnight Features II event which will grant players up to five rewards upon completing challenges, and one of those is a free Groot skin you can get.
