Looking for more Lies of P pulse cells? Pulse cells are your main method for healing in Lies of P, providing a way to replenish hit points in Neowiz’s dark fantasy RPG. But in this Souls-like, you’ll start off with a pretty poultry number of them. So how do you get more?
Here, we’re going to cover the main ways to get more Lies of P pulse cells for healing Pinocchio in combat. If you’re on the lookout for other Lies of P tips and tricks, or want a more general Lies of P review if you’re on the fence about the game, don’t worry, we’ve got you covered.
How to get more pulse cells in Lies of P
To get more Lies of P pulse cells, either increase your capacity with P-organ upgrades, or deal damage to enemies after expending all your currently held pulse cells. These are your two methods to get more pulse cells, though they work in considerably different ways. Let’s go through both of them and explain in a little more detail how each one works.
P-organ upgrades
If you’ve read our guide on how to use Quartz, which gives a wide breakdown of the P-organ upgrade system, you’ll be familiar with this method already. The P-organ system works like a stat tree, with multiple phases where you can spend special materials to unlock potent and permanent upgrades to Pinocchio.
All phases from 1-5 include an option to acquire an additional pulse cell. Once you’ve unlocked this, it’ll permanently boost your pulse cells by one any time you take rest at a Stargazer. This is the only way to permanently improve your total number of cells.
Attacking after healing
If you need an immediate boost during a difficult fight, there is actually one other mechanic available to you. Once you expend your final pulse cell, you’ll unlock a charge metre, displayed over the pulse cell icon on your belt. By attacking enemies and dealing damage, you can slowly fill up this metre. Powerful charged attacks will fill it the most, but other smaller attacks will also contribute.
Once the metre is full, you’ll earn back one pulse cell. This is a one-time bonus, encouraging aggressive playstyles, so use it wisely. If you’ve picked the best starting class, you should find it easier to make this work.
That covers how to get more Lies of P pulse cells, and set yourself up for improved healing. You’ll need the extra help against some of the game’s challenging bosses. If you’d like some additional insight into how to beat foes like the Scrapped Watchman or King’s Flame Fuoco, we can help.
