Wondering is Tekken 8 on Game Pass? Whether you’re a Tekken veteran or someone looking to try the game out without splashing out to buy the game outright, fans are keen to know if the iconic fighter is on Game Pass. Xbox’s popular subscription already has a few popular fighters like Guilty Gear Strive, Killer Instinct, and Injustice 2, so is Tekken 8 there along with them?

Is Tekken 8 on Game Pass?

Unfortunately, Tekken 8 is not available on Game Pass. While the game is set to launch on Xbox Series X/S along with other platforms, the game will sadly not be available from the start on Xbox Game Pass. This is perhaps unsurprising, as Tekken has traditionally had a much stronger relationship with PlayStation, with the series being a PlayStation exclusive up to Tekken 5.

As such, if you were hoping to be able to play the game on Game Pass, you’re going to have to shell out and buy the full game.

Will Tekken 8 be on Game Pass in the future?

It’s impossible to say whether or not Tekken will be coming to Game Pass in the future, but we think that it’s unlikely, and if it does, it won’t be for a long time. As previously mentioned, Tekken has a strong link with PlayStation, and we think it would be a rogue move to partner so heavily with Xbox that they would have the game on Game Pass considering that relationship.

And even if it does end up coming to Game Pass, with Tekken 8 being such a new release, it probably won’t happen for a few years at least. Taking Guilty Gear Strive as an example, it was only added to Game Pass around two years after its release.

To put it simply, if you were hoping to put off buying Tekken 8 for the chance that it gets added to Game Pass soon, we think you’re out of luck.
