Keep in mind that this isn’t the full Tekken 8 character list yet and there will surely be more introduced in the coming weeks as we get closer to the game’s release. This is obviously a far cry from the 50 characters that Tekken 7 boasted as many iconic names are currently still missing from the list.
Some of the more popular ones that will likely be making a return in the game include names such as Bryan, Eddy, Hwoarang, and Lee. Bandai Namco’s recent gameplay trailers, however, has also revealed the return of long-time-absentee character Jun Kazama. In canon, she’s been presumed dead since Tekken 2 – although has cameoed in every Tekken game since.
If you want to see her in action, then you can check out her trailer below.
Players are especially excited to try most of the characters out with the new Heat system now integrated into the game. This new mechanic should make for some very interesting strategies as it is definitely a drastic departure from the combat elements of previous installments. Its inclusion now also encourages aggressive play, making fights more exciting than ever before.
