Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 is almost here, bringing with it a new Battle Pass, map changes, new weapons, and it all kicks off with a Fallout collaboration following the recently released Amazon Prime TV show and Fallout 4 next-gen update. Ahead of the new season, Epic Games released the key art teaser to showcase what to expect from Season 3, and one character may have just given away who could be coming to Fortnite Festival in Season 4.

In the Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 key art, a new Rust Lord variant can be seen riding a motorbike. If you look closely, you will see that he is wearing a Metallica t-shirt. It has been rumored for a while, as well as revealed in a recent leak, that Metallica could be the featured artist in Fortnite Festival Season 4, which kicks off on June 11th. Currently, Billie Eilish is the featured artist, which has seen two skins of the Bad Guy singer, as well as multiple of her songs come to the game as Jam Tracks and emotes. Previous seasons also saw Lady Gaga and The Weeknd come to the game. This will mark the first time that a non-pop artist has been featured, as well as the first band.

Recently, rock and metal have been the main focus of many of the weekly tracks released in Fortnite Festival, bringing iconic bands such as Slipknot, System of a Down, Linkin Park, Avenged Sevenfold, and Disturbed to the game. Metallica is no stranger to Fortnite, with their song Master Of Puppets being used in an Icon Series emote, and Fuel was added today in the weekly Jam Track update that also included The Ramones’ Blitzkrieg Bop, Rob Zombie’s Dragula, and Rancid’s Ruby Soho.

If Metallica is the focus on Fortnite Festival Season 4, it will be interesting to see whether the band is immortalized as skins, with there being four members it could mean the largest Festival Pass seen so far. Players have long been theorizing the songs that could be added to Fortnite Festival, with tracks such as Master Of Puppets, Dyers Eve, Creeping Death, and Battery being among some of the most highly requested. We could also see iconic tracks such as Enter Sandman, Nothing Else Matters, and One. Metallica recently released their latest album 72 Seasons, so we could see a track such as Lux Æterna be included to further market the album.
