Where to find the first Flux Construct I boss

This is a little bit off the beaten path. After finishing up the In-isa Shrine and continuing to progress through the Great Sky Island, you’ll start coming up to the higher snowy mountain area of the island. Just before the front gate leading upwards, turn left and you’ll find a large floating Zonai platform that you can move with your Tears of the Kingdom Ultrahand ability. Hop across the platform, and you’ll see a scanning Zonai tower which will transform into the boss once you approach it. The specific co-ordinates for this fight are 0505, -1563, 1439.

Before jumping in, you’ll want to make sure you have a decent stock of melee weapons, at least a couple of bows, and some healing items to be on the safe side. Flux Construct I will start out in a sort of humanoid form. In this phase, it’ll throw out some pretty predictable melee attacks which you’ll want to try and dodge entirely. If you try to guard against them it’ll just break through. When you have the chance, get close to the glowing block on its body and lay in some hits, or alternatively chip away at it from a distance with a bow.

After a while, Flux Construct I will transform into a giant square block that’ll try to roll into Link. You’ll want to keep your distance, and again take out your bow to periodically chip away at the glowing block. After a little while, you’ll be on to the third and final phase.

The boss will again change shape, only this time it’ll be a flattened rectangle with a piece on top. In this form, it’ll attack with five different blocks that’ll shoot out at Link. Make the most of sprinting to get out of the way of these and – you guessed it – hit its glowing block with your bow when you get the chance. To avoid running out of stamina, try not to sprint when the boss isn’t attacking you.

And there you have it. The Tears of the Kingdom Flux Construct I boss will be destroyed and you’ll be rewarded with some Zonai goodies. While it might take a couple of tries to nail, this boss can comfortably be beaten without Link taking any damage once you know what you’re doing.
