If you’re on PC, you’ll need to hold down the Tab key instead while using your mouse to select the potion you’d like to use. Once you’ve chosen a particular potion, release Tab and then simply press it again to use it.

Keep in mind, though, that using Wiggenweld Potions requires you to hit a completely different button for both systems. For consoles, you’ll have to tap the down button on the D-pad to restore health. PC users, on the other hand, will need to press the G key on their keyboard.

All Potions and their effects in Hogwarts Legacy

There are a total of seven potions you can use throughout your adventure in Hogwarts Legacy. Though most serve basic purposes such as the HP-restoring Wiggenweld Potion, others have unique effects that help you gain an edge in combat.

Here are all of the potions that can be found within the game:

  • Wiggenweld Potion – restores a certain amount of health once ingested. This is the first concoction that players acquire in the game.
  • Thunderbrew – creates a storm around you that stuns and deals damage to nearby enemies
  • Focus Potion – reduces spell cooldown
  • Maxima Potion – increases spell damage for a limited amount of time
  • Edurus Potion – enhances your defense by covering you with a durable rocky skin
  • Invisibility Potion – turns the drinker invisible for a certain amount of time
  • Felix Felicis – reveals gear chests on the mini-map for one whole day. Unfortunately, this concoction is only available for PlayStation users that pre-ordered the game.
