Best Hogwarts Legacy spells loadout

In Hogwarts Legacy a majority of spells you have at your disposal are useful in specific situations, making them very circumstantial. In beast grooming for example, you’ll need all of these to achieve your aim. Where you do see variations in spell quality is in combat, which is where we have focused our best spell loadout picks.

Early game

  • Incendio
  • Levioso
  • Accio
  • Descendo

Late game

  • Bombarda
  • Diffindo
  • Avada Kedavra
  • Imperio

One spell in particular is absolutely worth getting if you can – Avada Kedavra. This kills enemies instantly – and so is hugely helpful for those looking to grind out XP and level up fast. Another helpful spell is Imperio, which can help turn the tide of combat in your favour if you’re running low on health or outnumbered. Expelliarmus is also useful if you’re looking to disarm opponents. For those who prefer Stealth, Disillusionment, which allows you to blend into your surroundings and stay undetected, will be vital.

Best spell combination attack in Hogwarts Legacy

  • Imperio – Crucio – Avada Kedavra
  • Accio, Descendo, Levioso, Descendo
  • Leviso, Depulso, Confringo, Descendo
  • Accio, Incendio, Levioso, Accio, Incendio

One particular combination has been proven to be very effective in our playthroughs, which involves combining Accio, which lifts enemies into the air, and Descendo to slam them on to the ground, which deals additional damage as the enemy is airborne. You can then cast Levioso to lift them up again, before casting your favourite damaging spell to finish the combo.
