What are Shriekers in Helldivers 2?

Shriekers are a type of Terminid enemy that resemble a Scavenger with large, almost dragon-like wings. They fly in the air above players and quickly dive towards them to attack them. They seem to be fairly dangerous, too, with some players that have come up against them reporting being one-hit by them if hit directly.

Where to find Shriekers in Helldivers 2

Shriekers can be found on Terminid-controlled planets, but won’t just be roaming around like many other Terminid mobs will. Instead, they are usually found near their nests which are tall, glowing, and mushroom-shaped.

You can avoid them or try and take them out from afar, but if a player gets too close to their nests, they will become aggressive and start trying to attack you. So if you see these nests over the horizon, be wary of going too close if you aren’t ready for a fight.

How to kill Shriekers

Shriekers can be a little difficult to take down due to their fast movement in the air. Luckily, they have very high health. If you have a good long-range weapon, you should be able to take them down with a couple of shots before they get near you.

If you’re only packing short-range weapons, you may need to wait for them to get closer. You can wait for them to attack you, which makes their movement more predictable and easier to hit. Just make sure you’re ready to dodge them too, in case you don’t manage to kill them in time.
