What will FC 24 Nintendo Switch look like? Electronic Arts has made sweeping changes to the old FIFA franchise this season, bringing a new lease of life to the Legacy Edition on Switch.
We have already spent hours in the game this season, so make sure to read our FC 24 Review before heading into the game. For once, the new features, such as FC 24 PlayStyles and Evolutions, are available on Switch too, so the game is much closer to consoles than it has been previously.

FC 24 Nintendo Switch gameplay
EA has broken down the new features for this year’s game in their pitch notes. Using this, let’s break down each element coming to the game this season.
Much like the consoles versions, FC 24 Career Mode has seen the implementation of a Total Management System. This combines your tactical vision with the coaching staff you hire.
The effects of this new system are felt in your team’s progression. Player’s will improve quicker if you have the right coaching staff around you! There are also open top bus parades and individual award ceremonies to enjoy in specific cut scenes.
As already mentioned, PlayStyles are new in FC 24. These new traits give our favourite athletes signature abilities, such as power shots, passing precision, and immense blocking. The traits are data-led by Opta, so they should feel true to life.
Career Mode on Switch
We have mentioned the Total Management System already, but what does it mean? From the outset, you will be asked what your tactical vision is. You can choose from seven tactical visions, each with their own unique tactics.
Alongside your players, your coaches will improve over time as they gain experience. The tactical expertise from your coaches will help to improve different areas of your players’ games too, so choose wisely.
New training plans and pre-match reports are also new. This should give you the dge over your opponents when preparing for a big game.
Ultimate Team on Switch
The big new feature in FC 24 Ultimate Team this season is Evolutions. Being able to upgrade and transform your favourite players is a huge win in our eyes. This is the first step to creating a club legend.
For the first time ever, female players are also available. Five new leagues have been added to the game too, giving you more options when building your squad.
As ever, you will be able to compete in Rivals, Squad Battles, and FUT Champions this season. There is also a handy new ‘claim all’ button after you complete objectives, so you don’t have to fiddle around collecting your rewards from the main menu.
FC 24 Switch specific features
As you would expect, there are some features exclusive to Switch fans. Touch screen navigation and the two finger pinch screen zoom are both available this season.
You can also play the game with a single Joy-Con. Joy-Con multiplayer will allow you and your friends to play co-op or 1v1 in FC 24.
Switch players can also enjoy Local Seasons. This game mode is exclusive to Switch and allows fans to connect if they are in close proximity to one another.
