Who is the best player in FC 24?
There was a tie for the title of best player in FIFA 23. Five players in total boasted a 91 OVR, but change has come in EA Sports FC! Lionel Messi and Karim Benzema moving away from Europe to Inter Miami and Al Ittihad, respectively, has also seen them take a -1 to their overall rating. Surprisingly, Robert Lewandowski has also been given a -1 hit. This comes despite him winning the La Liga Golden Boot.
So, we have lost three players at the top of the tree, but two new ones have been given a 91 OVR! This gives us four players tying for the best-rated player in the game.
Man City maestro Kevin De Bruyne keeps his 91 OVR from FIFA 23! The Belgian provided an astonishing 31 assists in all competitions as City claimed a historic treble after defeating Inter in the Champions League final.
Kylian Mbappe also enjoyed a brilliant season, scoring 41 goals and providing 10 assists in just 43 appearances for PSG. EA’s previous poster boy also helped France reach the World Cup final, but could not add another winners medal to his haul. He also keeps a 91 OVR going into FC 24.
Now, on to the new arrivals, and it is no surprise to see Erling Haaland join the party! The Norwegian hitman has been sensational since arriving in Manchester, firing City to Premier League, FA Cup, and European glory.
The final player to make up the four will be a new face in FC 24 Ultimate Team! With women now included in the game mode, we have Barcelona Femeni’s Alexia Putellas coming in with a top rating. She will likely be a FUT fan favourite, with 90 SHO, 91 PAS, and 92 DRI, as well as decent pace, defending, and physicality stats!

Who are the top 10 wonderkids in FC 24?
When it comes to Career Mode, you won’t always be looking for the finished article. Signing up-and-coming superstars can be much more exciting, and cheaper! With this in mind, there are several teenagers to keep an eye out for in the ratings reveal.
Midfielders Jamal Musiala, Pedri, and Jude Bellingham will all be 20 years old at the start of EA Sports FC 24 Career Mode, so their time as wonderkids is over! Pedri’s Barcelona teammate Gavi will lead the next crop of youngsters in the game.
Already a fully-fledged Spanish international, Gavi boasts an 80 OVR in the latest squad update in FIFA 23. Add in his 89 potential, and he ranks as the top prospect among next season’s teenagers.
Keep an eye out also for Borussia Dortmund pair Youssoufa Moukoko (OVR 77) and Jamie Bynoe-Gittens (OVR 71), and England talent Rico Lewis. All three will possess great potential when the new game rolls around.

FC 24 biggest upgrades
Which players have the biggest upgradea in FC 24? We have already discussed Manchester City star Erling Haaland getting a big boost, but who else deserves one? Arsenal will surely see some changes to their ratings after an impressive season, especially when you consider Jorginho was their highest-rated gold player in Ultimate Team!
Martin Odegaard, Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli, and William Saliba have all seen healthy upgrades through squad updates in FIFA 23. We know that a few of their ratings will be much higher from the outset in FC 24.
Napoli is another club set to receive upgrades aplenty. Dynamic duo Victor Osimhen and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia will both be rated much higher next season. Right-back Giovanni Di Lorenzo can also expect a healthy boost to his stats, making him one of the game’s top RBs.

FC 24 biggest downgrades
While plenty of players deserve upgrades for their stellar campaigns, there are equally as many whose ratings need dropping! The higher up you start, the further you have to fall, and there are several big names that will be on the receiving end of a downgrade next season.
Sadly there is only one place to start, Cristiano Ronaldo. For many fans, Ronaldo is the greatest player to have played the beautiful game. But let’s face it, the last year or so has been a tough watch for even the most dedicated of fans.
Another forward seemingly past their best is Sadio Mane. For whatever reason it didn’t work out for Mane joining Bayern Munich last summer. After beginning FIFA 23 with an 89 OVR, the Senegal star has been handed an 86 OVR this September.
Of the players revealed so far, the biggest ratings downgrades in FC 24 are as follows:
Player | Club | Position | Overall | Downgrade |
Jamie Vardy | Leicester City | ST | 78 | -7 |
Wilfred Ndidi | Leicester City | CDM | 79 | -5 |
Cristiano Ronaldo | Al Nassr | ST | 86 | -4 |
Hugo Lloris | Tottenham | GK | 83 | -4 |
