The Dragon’s Dogma 2 Steeled Resolve, Blazing Forge quest is the sequel to Dulled Steel, Cold Forge, which involves fixing up a ceremonial sword. With Brokkr unwilling to help with the repairs, his apprentice Sara has taken it upon herself to get it done and disappeared. It’s your job to bring her home. Dragon’s Dogma 2 Steeled Resolve, Blazing Forge walkthrough
Steeled Resolve, Blazing Forge can be started at Brokkr’s Smithy in Bakbattahl after you complete the Dulled Steel, Cold Forge quest. To do so, leave the area after giving Sara the sword and wait for a bit. You can pass time on a bench outside the nearby Inn. Return and talk to Brokkr.
Checking on Sara
Brokkr tells you that Sara was off to Agamen Volcanic Island to work on the sword you gave her, and he wants you to bring her back. Head to the Mountain Base Cave near the western entrance to the Island (precise location on the map above).
The long way round
If you haven’t unlocked the door between Bakbattahl and Agamen Volcanic Island, you’ll have to go the long way around. Head west from Bakbattahl and then south until you reach a cave. Head through to get to the island.
Make your way through the cave, killing every single enemy you come across (you’ll thank us later). At the very end, you’ll find a forge area where Sara – safe and sound – is working on the sword.
You’ll now need to escort Sara out of the cave. This is where killing those enemies comes in handy. Assuming you did kill everything you see, this will just be a matter of walking with Sara back the way you came. You need to be quick though, as the Blazehammer will cool over time, so don’t hang around.
With Sara out of the cave, she will immediately head back to Brokkr’s Smithy in Bakbattahl. Return to the Smithy and Sara will present you with the restored sword.
Back to Roman
With the sword in-hand, all you need to do now is head back to Roman. Travel back to Vernworth, and go to the castle garden where you spoke to him last. Talk to him and return the sword to complete the quest, earning you 35,000G and 6,000 XP.
