Need to know how to get the Godslayer Crown in Diablo 4? This Unique helmet that came with Season 2 is an incredible piece of gear useable by all classes in the game, including Necromancer, Barbarians, Sorcerers, Druids, and Rogues.

Tons of new additions have been added with the release of Season 2, like the Flickerstep boots and the new Vampiric Powers. One of the new Unique items added is the impressive Godslayer Crown. We’re here to tell you how to obtain this helm, and what Unique Effect it has.

Where to find the Godslayer Crown in Diablo 4 and drop locations

The Godslayer Crown can be found in World Tier 3 or World Tier 4 around Sanctuary. It is a random drop, however, so you need to go to places where you can farm Uniques. The best places to farm for the Godslayer Crown are Blood Harvest events and Nightmare Dungeons.

However, you can also get the Godslayer Crown by defeating Uber Duriel. This Unique helm is part of the boss’s loot table and can be dropped by him upon defeat. It’s important to know that this boss is one of the most difficult in the game, being a level 100 boss. Make sure you’re ready to take on a challenge if this is the route you decide to take.

This helm is a random drop, so that means there is no guaranteed spot to find it. You’ll need to grind for a bit before you can get it, and it can take longer for some than it does for others. I’ve found that going after the Echo of Duriel is quite effective because you’ll need to do other activities that are great for farming to reach the boss anyway. Duriel drops plenty of other goodies, too, that make it worth it even if you don’t pick up the Godslayer Crown.

You’ll need to collect Shards of Agony and Mucus Slick Eggs to take on Duriel, which you can get by defeating Grigoire and the Echo of Varshan on World Tier 4. Then head to the Gaping Crevasse and Summon him at the Pestilent Altar. Defeating him will give the chance for the Godslayer Crown to drop, as well as plenty of other rare drops.

Duriel is not an easy boss to beat, so make sure you’re prepared to take him on by getting your Poison resistance up.

Godslayer Crown Unique Effect and Affixes

The Godslayer Crown has the following Affixes:

  • Increased Cooldown Reduction Percentage
  • Increased Crowd Control Duration Percentage
  • Increased Maximum Life
  • Increased Damage Percentage

And for a Unique Effect, the Godslayer Crown has this:

  • When you Stun, Freeze, or Immobilize an Elite enemy, or damage a Boss, it Pulls In Nearby enemies. You deal 30 to 60% increased damage to them for three seconds. This effect can only occur once every 12 seconds.

The exact stats will vary based on the Item Power of the specific helmet you pick up. The higher the item power, the better the stats. You’re more likely to find a more powerful Godslayer Crown on World Tier 4 where it drops as an Ancestral item, so we recommend hunting for it on Torment instead of Nightmare. If you get it in World Tier 3, it drops as a Sacred item instead.

Sweet Torment

All gear that drops on World Tier 4 will have a higher Item Power than if it drops on World Tier 3. If you’re able to hunt on Torment, we highly recommend doing so.
