Are you looking for how to get the new Flickerstep boots in Diablo 4? This new Legendary gear came with the launch of Season 2, and many players are wondering how to obtain it.

There are plenty of new additions that came with Season 2, the Season of Blood, like Vampiric Powers and new endgame bosses. Among these are the new Unique items that have been added, and that includes the Unique Boots, Flickerstep. How do you get this new gear? We’re here to let you know.

Where to find Flickerstep Boots in Diablo 4 and drop location

There are a few ways you can get the Flickerstep Boots in Season 2 of Diablo 4:

  • Defeat the Echo of Duriel
  • Random enemy drops and chests on World Tier 3 or 4

While both of these can give you the boots, Echo of Duriel is much more likely to drop them.

The King of Maggots

Uber Duriel doesn’t just drop the Flickerstep boots. He has an incredible loot table including many Uber Uniques. Even if you don’t get the Flickerstep the first time, it’s worth beating him again and again.

Defeat Uber Duriel

The new endgame boss Echo of Duriel, also known as Uber Duriel, has the Flickerstep as one of the items in his loot table. Once you defeat this boss, there’s a chance that he’ll drop them. This boss is not easy to defeat (he’s a level 100 boss), so make sure you’re prepared to fight him.

He is not guaranteed to drop them each time you beat him, either. It will likely take you a few tries to get them from him. Make sure you have plenty of materials needed to summon him, the Shards of Agony and Mucus Slick Eggs. You can obtain these in World Tier 4, so while you’re working to get more materials to summon Duriel, you have the chance of the boots dropping, as well. This is a great way to maximize your chance of getting this gear.

Drop from enemies and chests

The Flickerstep Boots can also fall from enemies or be found in chests on World Tier Nightmare or Torment. While we recommend going through Nightmare Dungeons to farm for them, you can get them from any enemy you beat. Taking down enemies and completing events in the overworld all have a chance of the boots dropping. Just continue to grind for the best chance for them to fall.

They’re more likely to drop from World Tier 4: Torment, so make sure to change your World Tier for better chances. These boots are still very rare, so it’s incredibly difficult for them to drop at random.

Flickerstep Unique Effect and Affixes

Flickerstep are Ancestral Unique Boots in Diablo 4. They are usable by any class. They have a unique effect where each enemy you Evade through reduces your active Ultimate Cooldown by two to four seconds, up to 10 seconds. Other stats include damage reduction, increased movement speed, increased ultimate skill damage, and addition to all stats.
