Looking for the Diablo 4 Barber Heart? The Season of the Malignant offers Diablo 4 players new ways to step up their class builds. Caged Hearts can be slotted into Jewellery for some massive buffs. One Malignant Heart in particular, the Caged Heart of the Barber, has been rising in popularity.

Check out our Diablo 4 Season 1 guide to stay up to date with all the new changes Blizzard have added to the game. Also, note how these changes affect Diablo 4 battle pass progression and its rewards. And with that, let’s see why players are obsessed with this Caged Heart in Diablo 4.

Diablo 4 Barber Heart explained

The Barber Heart, known as the Caged Heart of the Barber, is a Wrathful Malignant Heart in Diablo 4 Season 1 with potent defensive buffs. It can be added to any Malignant socket in jewellery. Here’s the special bonus that it offers players:

  • Critical Strikes and all subsequent damage within 2.0 and 4.0 seconds are absorbed by your target. The absorbed damage then erupts onto surrounding enemies, and store damage is increased by 10% per second.

Considering the sheer utility of this Wratful Malignant Heart, it’s no surprise that players are working towards getting one of these into their Seasonal character builds. The best part is that the Barber damage itself can stack on top of one another. Note that this is exclusively a Season 1 mechanic. Eternal Realm characters created before Season of the Malignant will not be able to take advantage of this Malignant Heart. Here’s how players can grind to get them.

How to get the Barber Heart in Diablo 4 Season 1

Defeating Wrathful Malignant Enemies in World Tier 3 will give players a chance to get the Barber Heart in Diablo 4 Season 1. Note that you need to clear the Diablo 4 Capstone Dungeon to reach World Tier 3 difficulty. You can also get the Barber Heart by using a Diablo 4 Wrathful Invoker on a Malignant Outgrowth at the end of the Malignant Tunnel. Remember that an Uncertain Invoker does not guarantee a Wrathful one. A decent dungeon to farm is the Fissure of Malice, a Malignant Tunnel to the South of Nostrava and the southwest of Fractured Peaks.

You can also farm Wrathful Malignant Hearts at the Diablo 4 Cold Hard Truth quest for a shot at this hard-to-find item. There’s a bug that lets players get an unlimited number of Wrathful Hearts. If these steps prove difficult, you can also attempt to craft the Diablo 4 Barber Heart.

How to craft the Barber Heart in Diablo 4 Season 1

The Barber Heart can be crafted at Cormond’s Workbench by using Ichors to craft an Uncertain Hearts Cache. Note that Ichors of different colors are required. You can obtain various Malignant Ichors by salvaging Hearts of that particular type. Salvaging Vicious, Brutal, and Devious Heart will provide you with 5-15 Ichor. Wrathful hearts provide 2-5 Ichor of all other Heart types.

This Uncertain Heart Cache has a chance of producing all 4 types of Malignant Hearts, including Wrathful ones like the Barber Heart. But your odds aren’t great as players have reportedly opened as many as 85 Uncertain Hearts Caches without a single Wrathful Heart drop.

That covers everything we know about the Barber Heart in Diablo 4 Season 1. The Caged Heart of the Barber is a solid addition to any build so it’s definitely worth the effort. It can be slotted into any jewellery socket. The Tempting Fate Vicious Heart is a good combination with this as it enhances Critical Strike Damage. As you hunt for this elusive item, keep track of your Diablo 4 Season Journey as well. Check out our Diablo 4 Rusted Key guide if you’re wondering why players have been looking for this quest item.
