The drunk pig is a pretty unique character in Black Myth Wukong, to say the least, found near Rockrest Flat Checkpoint in Chapter 2. While all he seems to want is for you to deliver him some more booze, a better idea is to get him sobered up, but it’s not entirely apparent how you’re meant to do that.

So if you’re in the midst of Black Myth Wukong’s bizarre drunk pig quest and are looking for a way to sober him up, we’ll tell you what item you need, where to get it, and all the steps you need to take.

Black Myth Wukong Drunk Pig quest guide

To sober up the Drunk Pig in Black Myth Wukong, you’ll need to obtain the Sobering Stone, which can be bought from a nearby merchant. Unfortunately, this merchant won’t have access to the Sobering Stone until you fulfil a certain set of requirements, so here’s how to complete the quest step by step.

You can find the drunk pig near the Rockrest Flat Checkpoint, stood at the cliff edge through a small gap in the rocks. Initially, he’ll just ask you to get him some more booze, but he’ll also suggest finding a way to get him sobered up. As previously mentioned, you’ll need the Sobering Stone for this.

You can get the Sobering Stone from the Man-in-Stone, who is located in the ravine near Squall Hideout Checkpoint. Initially, he won’t sell the Sobering Stone, so you’ll have to complete his questline first. This involves defeating two nearby optional bosses, but is worth doing anyway as it unlocks one of the best transformations available in the early game.

Once you’ve completed the Man-in-Stone’s quest, head back to him and purchase the now-available Sobering Stone. Bring it to the drunk pig, who will immediately sober up, decide that he’s hungry and head off to the Temple of the Crouching Tiger. Follow him by travelling to the Temple Entrance Checkpoint.

Make your way to the arena where the Tiger Vanguard boss is. Just before the arena, turn right and you’ll see the now sober pig resting against a wall. Talk to him and he’ll ask you to bring him a Jade Lotus, which you can find near where you met the headless wandered at the start of Chapter 2. Give it to him and he’ll tell you about the ‘Realm of Gold’ and a gold piece he’s going to use to reach it. This is Arhat’s Gold Piece which you obtained from defeating the First Rat Prince in the cave in Valley of Despair.

Return to where you first met the pig, and you’ll meet another pig called the Yellow-Robed Squire, who will demand to know why you have his brother’s golden trinket. He’ll attack you, so dispatch him to obtain the Snout Mask and make your way through the nearby stone door. You’ll complete the quest and unlock a secret zone – the Kingdom of Sahali – where you can take on the next quest in this storyline.
