Looking for all the tea bowls in Assassin’s Creed Shadows? Once you’ve completed all the quests associated with The Golden Teppo tea ceremony and made your way over to Kyoto in Yamashiro, you’ll unlock the Tea Bowl for Rikyu side quest. Sen no Rikyu is after several tea bowl collections to complete a new tea house he’s working on.
There are seven bowls to find scattered across the map. They are primarily bought from Ornament Vendors, except for one that’s tied to the main story. In this guide, we’ll walk you through where to find all the Tea Bowls for Rikyu locations in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. Note that you’ll need 750 Mon total to buy all the bowls.
How to start the Tea Bowls for Rikyu quest
To start Tea Bowls for Rikyu, you’ll need to complete the following quests first:
- Searching Sakai
- Dress for Success
- The Perfect Gift
- The Tea Ceremony
At this point, you’ll get a new quest under the People of Yamashiro on the Objective Board. This guides you to Sen no Rikyu in the north of Kyoto in the Yamashiro province. Speak to Sen no Rikyu and he’ll task you with finding the seven bowls. You’ll have a dialogue option linked to how much to bow at the start of the conversation. The right choice is halfway. This doesn’t have an impact on the rest of the quest, so don’t worry about getting it wrong.

Tea Bowl 1 location – Intricate Tea Bowl Collection
You’ll find this one at the Ornament Vendor in the Port of Sakai portion of Sakai in Izumi Settsu. The merchant is located not far from the shore near the Port Trader. The bowl will cost you 125 Mon.

Tea Bowl 2 location – Rustic Tea Bowl Collection
The second bowl can be bought from the Ornament Vendor in Kyoto in the Yamashiro province. You’ll find them in the southern part of the city, just northeast of the Southern Kyoto Kakurega and the Toji Temple. Again, you’ll have to splash out 125 Mon to buy the bowl.

Tea Bowl 3 location – Sophisticated Tea Bowl Collection
You can buy the third tea bowl for 125 Mon from the Ornament Vendor found in Azuchi in the province of Omi. The vendor is located in the town to the southwest Azuchi Castle, northwest of the Shingu Shrine and the Daikan Mansion.

Tea Bowl 4 location – Unique Tea Bowl Collection
You can buy the Unique Tea Bowl Collection from the Ornament Vendor located in the city of Sakamoto in the Omi province. She’s stationed to the northwest of Sakamoto Castle and The Armory on the edge of the town, north of the Sake Brewery and the Sakamoto Kakurega. Again, have 125 Mon on hand to buy the bowl collection.

Tea Bowl 5 location – Elegant Tea Bowl Collection
You can buy the Elegant Tea Bowl Collection for 125 Mon from the Ornament Vendor in Obama in the Wakasa province. She’s set up shop almost right in the middle of the Kara Market area at the center of the town, just west of the Samurai Yashiki District.

Tea Bowl 6 location – Simple Tea Bowl Collection
The sixth tea bowl collection is available from the Ornament Vendor in Kamayama in the province of Tamba. You’ll need 125 Mon to buy it. You’ll find the shop in the south of the city, just southeast of the Kameyama Kakurega and northeast of the Sennenji Temple.
Tea Bowl 7 location – Classic Tea Bowl Collection
Unlike the other six Tea Bowls for Rikyu in Assassin’s Creed Shadows, you’ll obtain the Classic Tea Bowl Collection as a reward for completing the Darkness Falls main story quest. To do this, you’ll need to assassinate The Wise Shinbakufu member. It’s quite far into the main story, so quite far off if you’ve only just reach Kyoto and unlocked Yasuke.
Obtaining the last one will wrap up the Tea Bowls for Rikyu quest in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. Head to Rikyu in Kyoto to hand over the bowl. You’ll earn 1000 XP along with the Collector trophy for the trouble.
