Does The Finals support crossplay

Yes, The Finals supports crossplay, as confirmed via an X post (formerly Twitter) and is automatically activated. This means you should be able to jump right into playing with, or against friends regardless of whether you’re playing on Xbox, PlayStation, or PC. This also means you’ll be able to play with either controller or keyboard and mouse, depending on your preference.

All this means you’ll be playing with players on different platforms, like other big free-to-play games like Fortnite and Warzone. It’s becoming much more common for fps games to have cross-platform and is perhaps an important factor influencing their success. Embark Studios lets console players duke it out against PC gamers across its destructible maps.

You can disable crossplay to stick to your platform

If you’re bothered by players from other platforms playing in your matches, you can disable this functionality. Note that it may take longer to enter a match in The Finals this way.

Does The Finals have cross-progression

We can confirm it has cross-progression for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. By logging into your Embark ID account, you can play from any platform. This includes The Finals rewards which will also be carried over regardless of the platform you’re playing on.

That covers crossplay and cross-progression in The Finals. Cross-progression features and full crossplay support are essential when playing on multiple devices or with friends across platforms. The inclusion of crossplay means that servers will be full of players competing as Contestants for Cashout Stations. In recent years, PC players and console players have come close in terms of competence thanks to aim assist and other accessibility features. This means that game modes that involve breaking vaults remain an enjoyable gaming experience irrespective of your platform.
