All you’re going to need is your profession, reason for accessing Gemini 1.5 Pro, alongside a valid email address. If you’re hoping to register for the Gemini 1.5 Pro waitlist, you’re not going to be able to use a workspace email address, and a personal one is going to be needed.

You’re going to need to specify your field, alongside what you’re hoping to use Gemini 1.5 Pro for.

The next step is as simple as the first couple of steps – just click Sign Up! You will be emailed in due course when Gemini 1.5 Pro is available to your Google Account.
Some developers are already being granted access to Gemini 1.5, with the 1m token window impressing many. It looks as though efficiency is the main focus for Gemini 1.5, which when compared with GPT-4 Turbo, shows serious advances in the handling of the extremely large quantities of information you can give to the model at once.
There’s a few countries you can’t access Gemini 1.5 in, yet
As of yet, some territories such as the United Kingdom can’t access Google AI Studio. As a writer based in the UK, this was a pickle at first. However, you are able to use VPNs to access Google AI Studio, alongside using their alternative Vertex AI Platform to access Google AI tools.

It’s not clear whether Vertex AI is going to give users and developers in these countries access to Gemini 1.5 just yet, though when it’s available for a public release this is likely to change.
Is there an Early Access waitlist for Gemini 1.5?
At the moment, there’s no specific ‘Early Access’ for Gemini 1.5. All that we have at the moment is a waitlist where you’re going to be able to sign up with your email address, with access for the Gemini 1.5 Pro model coming soon after.
