A study by the Alignment Research Centre showed how they got an AI powered by GPT 4 to bypass a captcha test.

It did this by employing a human on the site TaskRabbit, convincing the worker it was a human and getting them to solve the Captcha. It should be noted that the chatbot was taught to perform this behaviour, and did not do so of free will. However, it did reason that it should lie in order to get the Captcha completed.
