The RX 6600 will offer you a stellar performance in Fallout 4 and for a remarkably low price. In fact, this card is one of the best GPUs under $200, which makes it a tempting offer for many. This is especially true considering its specs.
There is 8GB of GDDR6 RAM, a high boost clock and a great cooling design to allow the card to run at full power. Now these specs are not groundbreaking, and reveal a card that may struggle with the latest and most demanding modern Triple-A titles. Just like with the RX 6600, this card may not be able to run the latest title at 4K with ray tracing enabled but for many that won’t be necessary anyway. The vast majority of gamers out there play at 1080p resolutions or lower and the GTX 1660 Super is capable here, especially with older games such as Fallout 4.
If you are looking for a GPU to put into a whole new gaming PC, the GTX 1660 Super will save you money, being easily one of the best budget GPUs. It’s not just its own low cost that will save you money either. Thanks to its modest specs you can also enjoy the relatively low price of the other components you can put around it. Is Fallout 4 RAM heavy?
Fallout 4 is fairly RAM-heavy, especially compared to its other very modest system requirements. That said the recommended minimum is 8GB of RAM which is fairly standard. However, you will get a smoother gaming experience with 16GB which we would recommend going for, if you can.
Is Fallout 4 FPS capped on PC?
The default graphic settings cap the FPS rate. It is advised you keep this cap as it can help the game run smoothly with your monitor, though it is possible to uncap it.
