In the stylish, lo-fi world of Zenless Zone Zero, your cute but deadly Bangboo companions are arguably just as important as the main characters. These adorable creatures, despite their diminutive stature, can often turn the tides of battle in your favor by providing themed perks and a healthy dose of complementary damage to boot. So naturally, as HoYoverse continues adding more characters to the game, it similarly brings in more Bangboos to help you in your missions.
According to a recent leak (shared by Reddit user seek1rr), an upcoming Bangboo will reportedly be a bulletproof vest-wearing 5-star PubSec companion. Although the developers have yet to confirm this, the alleged new addition makes sense since most of the game’s supposed upcoming new characters, including Zhu Yuan and the detective rat lady Jane Doe, hail from the same faction. And like Amillion and Safety, PubSec Bangboo (CopBoo?) will most likely give NEPS characters added buffs.
Of course, you will need to take this information with a grain of salt since HoYoverse hasn’t officially announced its arrival in the game. But with Zenless Zone Zero having been released at the beginning of July, updates containing new characters, Bangboos, and story arcs could come sooner rather than later. Until then, make sure to stock up on Boopons and Encrypted Master Tapes so you can start pulling as soon as the new content drops.
