Tales of the Shire is a cozy life-sim set in the vibrant world of Middle Earth – the setting for Lord of the Rings. The game comes from Wētā Workshop, the masterminds behind many of the practical effects in the trilogy and is published by Private Division. As the name implies, you will play in the Shire, home of the Hobits. There, you’ll live the homely Hobit life, while creating a new village near Hobbiton. You will build and decorate, while taking on the tasks like fishing and foraging. Other Hobit friends will be there to help out, with full multiplayer support for an even more bustling village. Tales of the Shire will be released on March 25, 2025. As you may know, this is an important date for any Tolkien fan – the day of the Battle of Morannon, and more importantly, the day when the One Ring was finally destroyed. Which platforms is Tales of the Shire releasing on?

Tales of the Shire is going to be released on PC through Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch. There is no information on whether the game will be on the Xbox Game Pass. On the other hand, seeing as the game will be released on Switch, it’s very likely that it will run very well on Steam Deck too.
