XDefiant has quickly established itself as one of the most popular first-person multiplayer shooters out right now. The game has captivated many since launch, but naturally not everything is perfect. There are issues that need ironing out and this will be achieved through continuous updates. Here you will find the XDefiant update Y1S0.2 patch notes that include several fixes along with a change to crossplay.

Beyond this update, make sure to tune into the upcoming Ubisoft Forward event set for June 10th as watching this event live will win you a free XDefiant reward. Ubisoft’s new multiplayer shooter has boatloads of potential, and a leaker claims we are set to get an Assassin’s Creed faction along with two new maps from two of the series’ most renowned games.

New content will be key to keeping players coming back, but the same can be said for frequent updates. There are no balance changes as of yet, and the developer has shared exactly when the sniper nerf will arrive. Before weapons finally get balanced, update Y1S0.2 is out with the patch notes including several significant fixes.

XDefiant Y1S0.2 patch notes

Below are the patch notes for XDefiant update Y1S0.2:

Social:

  • While in a party, we now display the most restrictive Crossplay setting among the party members, as it applies to the whole party. Also fixed an issue where party members with differing Crossplay settings couldn’t matchmake.
  • Fixed an issue with displaying incorrect player names on some Social screens.
  • Fixed a crash caused by spamming open/close View Party Invites, but who would even do that, calm down.
  • On consoles, Ubisoft Connect party invites could display as if they were coming from Xbox or PlayStation Network friends. Fixed that, along with some other weird invite-related things.

Miscellaneous:

  • Fixed some missing terrain textures when players joined matches in progress on some maps.
  • Input-Based Matchmaking setting status now updates correctly after changing it on Xbox.
  • Fixed a thing on PS5 where people could sneak into places they shouldn’t via PS5 Activities.
  • Security improvements, various.
