Like any good military FPS title, Ubisoft’s new arena shooter lets you unlock the AK-47 fairly early on. You can do so by dealing 4000 damage with Assault Rifles. While it serves as a solid companion during close and mid-range firefights, a careful balance of attachments allows you to double down on its strengths while mitigating its weaknesses. After some major time with the weapon, here are our best attachments to make the most of this iconic rifle.

Our best AK-47 build

This AK-47 loadout will lower its already reasonable recoil, letting you unleash controlled bursts into an opponent. Since you won’t be shooting one round at a time, boosting spread accuracy will help your shots land on target, even at a distance, and thrive in close-quarters combat in narrow corridors like the ones in the Arena map.

To lower both its innate horizontal and vertical recoil, we go for the Stabilizing barrel. It comes at the cost of some sprint-shoot time and ADS walking speed, but we patch this up by choosing the Quick Draw rear grip. This improves sprint-shoot time and ADS speed but drops your ADS stability so fix this with Padded stock, which also improves recoil recovery and ADS flinch control.

The Pistol Grip front rail attachment greatly improves your sprint-shoot time and spread accuracy. The hit in horizontal recoil control is evened out by the Stabilizing barrel we picked earlier. We fall back on the Reflex scope and its red dot sight to quickly pinpoint enemies and land high-damage headshots. The build will dramatically improve your agility, letting you aim quickly with a lower ADS time and land shots with less recoil getting in your way.

While the ACR 6.8 is the uncontested leader of the assault rifle category, don’t underestimate the AK-47. This weapon can still punish enemies at mid-range shootouts and close-range skirmishes. Watch out for SMG players with enhanced mobility and rate of fire as they can beat you if they’re close enough. As for TAC-50 sniper rifles and marksman rifle wielders, you’ll have to flank them to outgun them. Faction abilities like the Cleaners’ Incendiary Ammo are potent picks here, letting you deal damage over time and take down retreating foes. It’s countered by the Libertad’s faster health regeneration so be mindful of who you’re going up against.

✓ Pro tip

If you prefer fast reloads and are accustomed to the AK-47’s iron sights, consider replacing the Reflex sight with a Quick Mag or Fast Mag for a boost in reload speed.

Though you’re in for a lengthy grind to unlock all the attachments, sticking with the AK-47 for a while is worth it to improve its performance. While the AK-47 is a solid pick across all game modes, it’s particularly useful in Occupy and Domination where opponents tend to bunch and crowd around specific locations. Its versatility will let you take down enemies across most ranges, be it close proximity or at a medium range.
