XDefiant launched earlier this week and saw over 1 million players jump in and try Ubisoft’s new Call of Duty competitor within the first 24 hours. To help kick off the release of the game, players can head over to Twitch and unlock exclusive cosmetics, as well as earn Double XP this weekend to help players get started.
Ubisoft took to X to announce the first XDefiant Double XP weekend to celebrate the launch week of its new free-to-play competitive shooter saying,
“To celebrate launch week, we’re offering Double XP on weapons! It all starts Friday at 10AM PT/ 1PM ET and continues through the weekend until Tuesday at 10AM PT/ 1PM ET.”
The Double XP weekend will grant extra XP for weapons and begins on Friday, May 24th at 1PM ET/6PM GMT and will last until Tuesday, May 28th at 1PM ET/6PM GMT, giving players four days to earn as much XP as they can to get ahead.
So far, the reception for XDefiant has been positive, with many players enjoying the game. XDefiant is currently in pre-season to allow players to get to grips with the rank before the start of Season 1.
