The hype train for WWE 2K26 is underway. We haven’t seen anything official yet, but rumors may have revealed four new match types, as well as story details for the return of The Island. While 2K still hasn’t shown anything concrete, the WWE 2K26 roster is already looking exciting, as 2K has teased the addition of several new NXT stars.
On the official WWEGames X account, 2K uploaded a video featuring NXT talent predicting the game’s cover star. Leaks suggest CM Punk is the cover star, but it’s not the predictions that matter. What matters instead are the NXT faces featured in the video, who were not part of the WWE 2K25 roster.
Below are all of the new NXT wrestlers featured:
- Blake Monroe
- Ricky Saints
- Zaria
- Myles Borne
Although unconfirmed, it’s highly likely all four will be part of the base WWE 2K26 roster at launch. Zaria debuted in October 2024, making her a major part of NXT for over a year, while Ricky Saints debuted in February 2025, followed by Blake Monroe shortly after in June 2025. The cutoff for wrestlers making the base WWE 2K roster, rather than appearing as DLC, is typically between August and November.
As for Myles Borne, he debuted for WWE in 2022, so he’s been waiting nearly four years to join the WWE video games.
Zaria, Blake Monroe, Myles Borne, and Ricky Saints are all exciting prospects. Zaria has been a lot of fun teaming with Sol Ruca, and she should have been part of the WWE 2K25 DLC instead of celebrity inclusions such as NBA players and YouTuber KSI. As for Ricky Saints and Blake Monroe, both have featured prominently since making the jump from rival promotion AEW.
WWE 2K26 roster is poised to be bigger and better than ever
Beyond Zaria, Blake Monroe, Myles Borne, and Ricky Saints, there are plenty of other exciting possibilities for the WWE 2K26 roster. WWE became the parent company of Lucha Libre promotion AAA in 2025, and AAA stars such as Mr. Iguana and El Hijo del Vikingo have recently joined 2K’s mobile game, WWE SuperCard. That inclusion suggests they could also appear in WWE 2K26.
El Hijo del Vikingo has even seemingly confirmed that he was scanned for WWE 2K26. As for additional NXT talent, Darkstate’s Osiris Griffin has confirmed he was scanned as well, which suggests the addition of the faction’s three other members: Cutler James, Dion Lennox, and Saquon Shugars.
When it comes to DLC, an anonymous source who accurately leaked the entirety of the WWE 2K25 Season Pass has hinted at the return of Torrie Wilson. The beloved Hall of Famer hasn’t appeared in a WWE game since SmackDown vs. RAW 2008, nearly two decades ago, so her return would be a huge win.
The only potential concern for the WWE 2K26 roster so far is the uncertainty surrounding Mick Foley. Although unconfirmed, his inclusion is in doubt, as the Hall of Famer has stated he is not renewing his Legends contract beyond June 2026. That contract allows WWE to use a retired wrestler’s likeness in exchange for royalties.
Other additions we’d love to see in WWE 2K26 include Joe Hendry, Rey Fenix, Izzi Dame, Karmen Petrovic, and Rusev, just to name a few. With CM Punk also rumored to be the Showcase mode star in addition to gracing the cover, it would be a fantastic opportunity for 2K to include his wife, AJ Lee, for the first time since WWE 2K15.
