Update: AAA wrestlers now appear even more likely to debut in WWE 2K26. Darryl Sharma, the head referee of WWE promotion NXT, who also referees and produces the AAA x WWE events, has shown on X that he and other referees have been scanned for WWE 2K26 in AAA referee attire.
Scans don’t always guarantee an appearance in the game, but it’s highly likely that WWE 2K26 will feature AAA referees for the first time. This lends credence to the belief that AAA wrestlers will make their WWE 2K debut as part of the 2K26 roster.
In addition to wrestlers and referees, it’s possible that WWE 2K26 could feature AAA arenas, events, and championships.
Original story:
It was previously said by Fightful Select wrestling insider Sean Ross Sapp that there’s a “significant chance” of AAA stars joining the WWE 2K26 roster, and now, AAA wrestlers have made their WWE games debut in WWE Supercard, available for iOS and Android mobile devices.
Announced by AAA wrestler Mr. Iguana on X, “AAA has come to WWE Supercard”. This is the first time any AAA talent has appeared in a WWE game, and cards include AAA wrestlers such as Mr. Iguana, Vikingo, La Parka, and Octagon.

Unlike other WWE mobile games, WWE Supercard is published by 2K, the publisher of the video games for console and PC since WWE 2K14. AAA wrestlers are now able to appear in WWE video games because WWE announced its acquisition of AAA in April, with the deal finalized in August, making WWE the majority parent company of the Mexican promotion.
If AAA stars join WWE 2K26, it will probably happen through DLC, as AAA stars are special attractions rather than part of the official WWE roster. The most likely scenario is an AAA DLC pack, perhaps featuring wrestlers such as Mr. Iguana, Vikingo, Octagon, Pagano, and Psycho Clown, all of whom have wrestled WWE stars during 2025.
WWE 2K26 is slated to release before March 31, 2026. CM Punk is the rumored cover star, and WWE 2K25’s latest update suggests that The Island is returning. Alongside the likely addition of AAA talent, WWE 2K26 could gain four new wrestlers with the debut of NXT’s Darkstate as Osiris Griffin confirms he’s scanned for the game.
While the prospect of new wrestlers is exciting, there is the possibility that WWE 2K26 won’t have Mick Foley following the Hall of Famer’s falling out over WWE’s relationship with United States President Donald Trump.
