Get ready for battle because WWE 2K23 will have WarGames available at launch! The exciting match type, which features two rings surrounded by a steel cage, has long been asked for by the community and the developers have finally granted their wish.

The long-awaited match offering can either be played solo or multiplayer and it also has a 3v3 and a 4v4 option. You’ll also be given the chance to join a local match with your friends or an online match with other players. Keep in mind, though, that you’ll only be able to join those that are playing within the same console family. There will also be three Arenas available to choose from, namely the NXT TakeOver, Survivor Series, and the MyRise-specific Arena.

WarGames has always been a part of professional wrestling history so its inclusion comes as no surprise to those that have been following the scene intently. According to an official developer blog post, 2K Sports and Visual Concepts had apparently been “planning to feature this match type for a long time.” They went on to mention that during the development process for WWE 2K22, they had already made “some under-the-hood changes” that allowed them to make it a reality for their latest creation.
