2K has been steadily drip feeding new info on WWE 2K22 ahead of release next week, and today’s it’s offering a new peek at the 2K Showcase and MyRise modes.

The returning entry in the series’ Showcase mode will focus on cover star Rey Mysterio. Players will get to relive key moments from the masked luchador’s 20-year WWE career, from his 2002 Smackdown debut to present day. (Presumably ignoring the three year stint he left the company in 2015). You’ll replay matches from his biggest feuds in the ‘E, including Eddie Guerrero, Batista, The Undertaker and more.

If playing as the Master of the 619 isn’t your thing, maybe you’ll want to give MyRise a go. In this mode, you’ll create your own custom Superstar, including looks, movesets and fighting styles. You’ll then take them from small independent shows, to the WWE Performance Center and eventually reach Wrestlemania and beyond. We’re promised there’ll be unique storylines for both male and female superstars too.

For a deeper dive into both modes, 2K has promised the latest broadcast of their weekly Ringside Reports will take place this afternoon. That’ll kick off at 4pm UK time over on the WWE 2K YouTube channel. (We’ll also embed the video under the trailer so hopefully it’ll turn into the VOD following the broadcast.)

WWE 2K22 steps between the ropes on March 11 on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4. Check out the WWE 2K22 MyRise and 2K Showcase trailer down below.
